  • Negotiate Partnerships and Joint Venture documents related to various business ventures;
  • Negotiated $20 Million Naming Rights Agreement for South Florida Sports Arena;
  • Represented national hockey league franchise in negotiating business and marketing contracts, including radio, television, internet, promotional, sponsorship, marketing, employment and operational agreements;
  • Represented association of telephone membership corporations in wake of enactment of new telecommunications laws and advised regarding impact on business and regulatory issues;
  • Represented large Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier in successful effort to secure certificate of authority from the Utilities Commission for a subsidiary Competing Local Exchange Carrier to begin offering long distance telephone services within North Carolina;
  • Worked with cell tower companies relative to locating wireless telephone facilities, securing regulatory approval, governmental relations, site acquisition, title, leasing, and litigation involving wireless telecommunications networks;
  • Negotiated public/private partnership agreements between local governments, public university, and professional sports franchises for the development and financing of large public facility and infrastructure projects, including the RBC Center, Carolina Mudcats Stadium, and “TECO” arena;
  • Represented licensee applicant in successfully securing license to sell insurance after initial denial by licensing agent due to prior felony convictions;
  • Represented real estate licensee applicant in securing real estate broker’s license in the face of 3 licensing violations from out-of-state regulatory agency;
  • Represented purchaser in $3 million acquisition of auto service business;
  • Represented purchaser in $800,000 acquisition of commercial property by national fast food chain;
  • Represented home builders in securing environmental permits to cross streams and impact riparian buffers and wetlands necessary for residential construction.
